Class Description
The foundation of every great chef begins with learning how to safely handle a chefs knife! In this class, we'll practice the basic knife cuts that all professionals use everyday, such as the brunoise, batonnet, dice, mince, etc. We'll learn about the different varieties of kitchen knives and what they're used for. Afterward, you'll have all of the necessary ingredients prepped and ready to make your very own ratatouille, and the building blocks to take your cooking skills to the next level!
Materials Provided
I will bring a chefs knife for each student and all of the necessary vegetables and produce that you'll need to practice and master the knife skills techniques.
Materials Required
Each student will need to bring just their own cutting board, a bowl for scraps, and maybe a bottle of pinot to share with friends! (optional)
